Message from the Chief's

The members of the Rattlesnake Fire Protection District proudly serve the citizens of North West Elbert County with dedication and professionalism. Day or night, in good weather or in bad, the members who comprise your Rattlesnake Fire Department are always ready to respond rapidly to a variety of emergencies whether it be fire, medical, traffic accidents, hazardous materials, or a citizen in need of assistance. The members of the Rattlesnake Fire do an average of 16 hours a month in training to train the new recruits and to keep the rest sharp and ready for the next emergency call. We are very proud of their efforts, and as the Fire Chiefs we will do our best to ensure that this agency continues to meet and exceed expectations.

This web site will allow you, the citizen's of North West Elbert County, access to information such as fire season warnings, upcoming activities, community education, and volunteer recruitment information. Anyone interested in volunteering with Rattlesnake Fire and giving back to your community please feel free to contact us or stop by and pay us a visit. We appreciate your continued interest and support in Rattlesnake Fire. If you have any questions or comments about our organization and or services feel free to give us a call at 303-841-8111.

All Elbert County residents,

If you are new to Elbert County or are an Elbert County resident using cell phones, your Emergency Medical, Law Enforcement, and Fire District have a request! Please check your recent cell phone bill to see if you are being billed at your Elbert County address. If not, please ask your cell phone carrier to change the address to your current Elbert County address.

Our Elbert County First Responders rely on the 911surcharge on cell phones to keep Elbert County emergency communications funded and working. But, if you don’t change your cell phone billing address, that surcharge money goes to some other County. So, please help your local First Responders by updating and changing your cell phone billing address.

Thanks much for your assistance,

Elbert County Communications Authority (In an emergency always call 911)
